Alison Booth

Alison Booth has been in the music industry for 40 years, 27 of those at Sony Music Nashville. Her responsibilities include the supervision of A&R Administration and she is dedicated to finding best practices for the preservation of audio and video recordings and associated metadata. Alison also updates procedures and work flow to accommodate continually developing digital operations for Sony Nashville's labels: Arista Nashville, Columbia Nashville and RCA Nashville.

She served as a member of BMG's worldwide task force for development of Technical Delivery Standards and a Project funded by a grant for collection of metadata from the Library of Congress. Alison is a member of the Grammy's Producers and Engineers Wing, which developed an international standard for the delivery of recorded music projects. Prior to joining RCA Records (now Sony Music Nashville), Alison held positions at MTM (Mary Tyler Moore) Music Group, Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman, CPAs and SESAC. Alison is a member of Music Biz's (formerly NARM's) Metadata Workgroup, DDEX's Studio Metadata Working Group, and IFPI's/RIAA's Global Metadata Advisory Group. She was an adjunct professor at Belmont University for 10 years.
