Dollie Dearman Denny

Early in her career, Dollie Dearman was a dancer, traveling with Roy Acuff and Minnie Pearl and appearing on many USO shows entertaining the troops during World War II. She went on to work for the Grand Ole Opry, in charge of songbook sales, which put her in contact with most of the talent of the era.

After marrying Jim Denny, she was active from the first day of Cedarwood Music Publishing Company in 1953 until its sale in 1984, handling copyright administration and maintaining the large copyright and contract filing catalogs. Dollie Denny died in 2002.
