SOURCE AWARD RECIPIENT
Dottie Oelhafen
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Dottie Oelhafen began her impressive career with the Erv Woolsey Company while still in her teens and has spent the decades since cultivating the careers of an award-winning roster of clients. She attributes her career in the music industry to artist manager Erv Woolsey and Connie Woolsey, who indoctrinated her into the business when she was just 17 years old. As an early member of the team responsible for fostering the entertainment empire built by The King of Country Music, George Strait, Dottie has legitimately done it all! She grew up in the industry with the Strait and Woolsey families -- babysitting young Clint Woolsey and Bubba Strait prior to the company’s formation. From there, she helped launch a groundbreaking artist-founded music festival: the George Strait Country Music Festival featuring Strait, Alan Jackson, Asleep at the Wheel, Brad Paisley, LeeAnn Womack, Lonestar, Sara Evans and more. She later hit the road herself with Womack as her career took flight. Today, Dottie remains a key member of the powerhouse team, overseeing day-to-day management needs for Strait, while also managing overarching company needs out of their original office on Nashville's historic Music Row. A mother of three, Dottie balances the needs of both her home and work families while managing to attend nearly every Strait performance for 30 years and counting.
