Butler began her music career in the early days of Billboard's Nashville headquarters as the Office Manager from 1965-1969. From 1969-1970, Butler was the "do everything girl" in a one-woman office that coordinated all of the office responsibilities for Sunberry/Dunbar Publishing Company. In 1971, Butler became the Assistant to Mr. Herston at Kelso Herston Enterprises and followed him to United Artist Records when he became President of the record company. From UA, Butler went to Warner Bros. Records as Administrative Assistant to President Chips Moman and then teamed
with Ron Chancey at ABC/MCA Records as an Administrative Assistant in the A&R department. In 1984, Butler was the Sales and Marketing Coordinator and Assistant to the President at Triad Records before moving to Tree Publishing, as the assistant to Bob Montgomery from 1984 - 1986. From 1986-2003, Butler worked as Administrative Assistant for Ron Chancey Productions before starting with the American Federation of Musicians in December of 2003. Butler resides in Madison, Tennessee.
