Pam Russell

Pam Russell is a 33 year veteran of the Music Business.  Russell began her career in 1985 as a receptionist for Lee Greenwood’s manager, Larry McFadden. In 1986 she began working for MCA Records as Promotion Coordinator and rose through the ranks in the Sales and Marketing Department where she later became the VP of Sales & Marketing overseeing all sales and marketing initiatives for key national retail accounts. In 1996, Target awarded Russell with their Vendor of The Year Award. It was the first time the award had ever been presented to a label representative. In 2002, MCA Records merged with Mercury Records and Russell joined the new sales team as the VP of National Sales.  The National Association of Record Industry Professionals recognized Russell as the “Best in Biz” Sales Executive in 2011.  In 2018 Russell left Universal Music Group after 32 years with the company.   She retired from the music business and moved to Paducah KY to spend more time with her family.   She enjoys traveling, walking and playing pickleball. Russell attended Murray State University from 1979 through 1983. She graduated with honors from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Music and Emphasis in Recording Industry Management. Russell has served on the Board of Directors for the Interfaith Dental Clinic, and the Advisory Board for the Murray State Music Business Program.  She was a member of SOURCE, NATD, CMA AND ACM’S.   She is an alumnus of Leadership Music.
