Ronna Rubin

Ronna Rubin moved to Nashville to assume the position of National Director of Press & Artist Development at Warner Bros. Records. It was in that position that she created media campaigns for artists like Emmylou Harris, Dwight Yoakam, Take 6, k.d. lang, Bela Fleck and The Trio (Dolly Parton/Linda Ronstadt/Emmylou Harris). She also secured TV bookings and maintained tour press for a roster that included Randy Travis, Hank Williams, Jr. and others. She opened Rubin Media, a full-service publicity, PR, marketing and events company, in l994 and has maintained a roster of diverse entertainment clients ranging from recording artists, motion pictures, stage productions, venues and a cable network, to corporate clients in the performing rights and banking sectors. For two years Ronna wrote a weekly syndicated column for the Scripps Howard News Service and she continues to provide a variety of editorial and ad copywriting services to various clients. The West Virginia native and Ohio University graduate is a 25-year voting member of The Recording Academy. Acknowledging the importance of community involvement, she is a 20-year advisory board member of Gilda’s Club Nashville and the first recipient of their Nancy Saturn Award of Inspiration; a board member of the W.O. Smith Music School and a 20-year Room in the Inn volunteer. Ronna is also a two-time CMA/SRO Publicist of the Year nominee and a past nominee for the Nashville Business Journal’s Women in Music City Awards. She is also a certified master gardener and along with her dog Buddy is an Intermountain Therapy Animal team.
