Sarah Brosmer

Sarah Brosmer, a native of North Carolina, started her career as a DJ for her North Carolina State University campus station. After college, she worked for WMFD Radio as Music Director/Program Director/DJ. Moving to Nashville in 1977, she worked for Ray Stevens Music before accepting a position with MusiVerse, an A&R division of PolyGram/Mercury. There she handled secondary promotion for urban acts ConFunkShun and The BarKays as well as assisting with A&R duties for diverse acts George Burns, The Kendalls, and Sonny Throckmorton.

In 1983, she joined independent label, Compleat Records (distributed by PolyGram) as Publicity Director and Project Management for artists Vern Gosdin, Susan Jacks, Bohannon, Randy Bachman, and Jayne Kennedy.

In 1987, she moved to MCA Records, eventually becoming Vice President of Publicity and International Marketing. Her initial role in the publicity department expanded to include all international music licensing, international touring, marketing, and video commissioner. At MCA she worked with Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Gary Allan, George Strait, Trisha Yearwood, Dolly Parton, The Mavericks, Lee Ann Womack, Wynonna, Olivia Newton-John, and more. For her international work, The Country Music Association awarded her the “Jo Walker Meador” Award for International Achievement in 1999.

When MCA merged with Mercury Records/Lost Highway in 2003, Sarah was asked to work as VP of Marketing and International, where she was product manager for artists Reba McEntire, Patsy Cline Legends projects, and more. Additionally, she handled International Publicity for the roster which included Johnny Cash’s American IV album. For Lost Highway, Brosmer also acted as A&R liaison with Bobby Kennedy, Jr for the Special Olympic charity project “A Very Special Acoustic Christmas”.

In 2005, she joined Sony Music Nashville as A&R Supervisor, working for artists such as Miranda Lambert, Johnny & Donnie Van Zant and Gretchen Wilson.

When Sony and BMG merged, Brosmer joined the Lytle Management firm where she now handles daily management for country legend, Gene Watson. For Gene Watson, she developed “The Gene and Moe Show”, a television series that aired on RFD-TV.
