After a multi-year pause following the pandemic, the SOURCE Service Committee is back in action—and at the heart of it is longtime music executive and SOURCE Board Member, Tamar Poole. With a successful career in radio promotions and artist development, Tamar brings her passion for community and connection into this revitalized role.
“My entire career was built in radio promotions,” Tamar shared. “From starting as a coordinator all the way to VP, I loved helping new artists grow from unknown to household names. That passion for nurturing talent translates naturally into serving our community.”
Her journey with SOURCE began nearly six years ago, when she was invited by then-president Mandy Gallagher. “SOURCE helped me break out of the career bubble I was in and introduced me to an incredible network of women. I’ve loved every minute of it.”
Now leading the Service Committee, Tamar is excited about engaging members in meaningful ways. The committee’s current initiatives include a volunteer partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank and a Career Closet project at MTSU to help students in need of professional attire.
“I was already involved in supporting Nashville music organizations through my former job, so when I was asked to take this on, it felt like the perfect fit,” Tamar said. “Giving back is part of who I am, and I’m thrilled to help SOURCE members connect through service.”
Members looking to get involved with the committee can expect more volunteer opportunities and community-based outreach throughout the year.
